If you need you pet out at a particular time you should set that up when the appointment is made, if not we will work on the pets in the order that they check in and call you when they are ready to be picked up. If we call you and you can not come at that moment most pets are welcome to stay until closing if you need them to.
If you do not tell us a distinct time that you need your pet then We Will Call You, Please Do Not call us or just stop by to see if your pet is ready.
Some clients get upset that we do not want them calling to check on their pets, however if you look at it from our point of view you should realize that it is for the benefit of the animals. When the phone rings there are 3-4 stylist that must shut off clippers, dryers, or other equipment so that the person answering the phone can hear. If 5 people call to see if their pet is ready and the call takes 2 minutes then 40 minutes of total grooming time is lost, in turn making it take even longer to get the animals done and ready to go home. Also we assure you that if you pet is overly stressed or upset by being at the grooming shop, then we will be sending them home ASAP to make it less stressful on them. We are here to make sure they are as comfortable as possible.
When a client shows up because they were in the area it also takes time from the pets that we are working on. Someone must stop and go to the front to see what that person needs. Even worse is if your pet see’s or hears you. I compare it to a child at daycare, once they know you are there they are ready to go home. This usually makes the pet very upset and often hard to deal with afterwards. It really is best for your pet if you wait until we call you.
If you still feel the need to call or come in after this being explained, then you are defiantly welcome to do so. However there will be a charge of $3.00 for each phone call and a minimum charge of $5.00 for stopping by, this charge will be affected by the way your visit affects your pet.
