Angela had been grooming for several years for other grooming salons before opening Angela’s Grooming in 1998. She is well known and respected pet stylist in the grooming industry.
Shortly after opening Angela’s Grooming, she started competing in National and International grooming competitions and continuing her education in the pet care, safety, and breed standards. Today Angela still competes, but only in the creative competitions. She is also a world renowned speaker, judge, retailer, and competitor in the creative styling circuit.
Angela and her staff strive to make each pet as comfortable as possible for their grooming session while giving the best quality groom for them. Angela admits that she is more of a pet person than a people person. “ I may offend some people with my customer relations skills, but I always have the pets best interest in mind. People that do not groom pets, often do not understand the process. I am here to make each pet as beautiful as possible without torturing them trough the process. For example, if an animal comes in extremely matted I refuse to hurt the animal because of the owners neglect. This is not to say that I do not de matt, but there is a point where it becomes cruel. At that point I will refuse!”
